Hello and welcome to the Gadjo Gypsies website.  The Gadjo Gypsies were formed in 2006 to explore the music of the jazz era and the immortal gypsy jazz guitarist/composer Django Reinhardt and the French Hot Club sound. Touching on genres such as South American Choro music, bluegrass, and contra dance music, we realized that stylistically nothing is off the table when it comes to good music.
We have performed for restaurants, clubs, festivals, weddings and other special events. The intricate and dynamic interpretation of the music and the reception we are receiving from audiences has made us realize that we are most at home on the concert stage.
Originally a quartet, we found we enjoyed the open sound and musical maneuverability of a trio ensemble. We are hard at work recording on our next CD which will reflect the trio sound and is comprised of mostly original music.
